UK Transgender Patient Population

Transgender patient numbers continue to rise by 15%-100% per annum at UK GICs, a rate at which NHS funding and staffing cannot conceivably keep up despite all assurances that they would bring down first appointment waiting times to the obligatory 18 weeks.

UK Gender Clinic (GIC) Waiting Times

With waiting times of 13-30+ months for first appointments and 12 months for counselling, therapy or psychology support, these are not only dangerous but in breech of 18 weeks statutory recommended clinical wait times.
